"Maximus Marble" HP Dude Soap

The latest in my "Marble" HP Soap series, this soap is fragraced with an EO blend that I concocted for men, my husband in particular. It's a warm, fresh, sexy combination that is quite appealing ...I believe it would make a great men's aftershave or cologne...maybe I'll look into experimenting for the hubby!

Although it smells nothing (presumably) like a hot, sweaty gladiator...the name was inspired by the main character of the Gladiator movie, "Maximus."

I hope you can see the purple color of the "veining"...it's from alkanet root powder, and looks really nice in person.  I'm really liking the look of the marbling technique, and I hope others do, too.  (Always nice to actually sell some of my creations!)

I really love this HP soapmaking.  It's certainly a longer and more involved process,  fun and challenging at the sames time.  I suppose I'll keep working on my new HP passion until I get tired of it...but I think that may be a while! :)

Looks very nice and rustic and cottagy.... need to get myself a crock pot and get on board with the HP! If anything, for the scent staying power. Drives me nuts when the EOs just dwindle... xo Jen

Hi Becky, it still amazes me how the scent actually survives the heat! The marble texture is so artistic, it's definitely something CP cannot create. Look forward to seeing more HP soaps from you!

Becky, it's just a work of art. Rustic and warm and lovely to look at - it I could only smell it. I bet it is fantastic! You're really getting the hang of that hp thing aren't you?

Jen,
I hope you get a crock pot and try HP sometime...I think you would LOVE it! Lots of fun, and it feels more "hands on" to me. You'll love the fragrance difference, I think!

Hi Maggie,
The scent is what really hooked me on HP. The marble effect is something I dreamed up & my Hubby encouraged me to try. I was afraid of ruining a batch, and he said, "If it does, it does,..but I think you ought to try it" -glad he said that or I may not have tried! :)

Hey Michelle!

Thanks for the sweet comments! I'm lovin' the HP. It's fun, and really helps me that I can sell it right away. I wish you all could smell it through the computer...the fragrances are just really different than in my CP soap! :)

I like this soap. It has a very masculine and rugged appearance. I like the name of the soap, as well. The Maximum angle works. It is great to find soaps geared toward men. Not enough of them. Nice job!
