There's a spinning, twirling happy-dance in my head today -all due to these wonderful new Crafter's Choice silicone soap molds! My homemade soap bars have never looked better (in my humble opinion.)
Just take a look at the lovely, crisp lines of the soap loaf and of each soap bar:
I love the ease with which the homemade soap released after less than 24 hours! The silicone mold requires no lining and no releasing agent of any kind. I just poured the soap into the molds at a light/med trace, swirled the tops and that was it. 18 hours later: out it came!
Clean-up will consist of a soak in warm water, a quick rinse-off followed by air drying. Perhaps lining the molds for your handmade soap is no big deal in your day, but it was a constant source of stress for me. (Perhaps it's my impatient tendancies?) I am so happy to not have to do it anymore that I will definitely be investing in more of these!
This natural homemade soap is scented with pure essential oils & spices -no colorant whatsoever. (I believe most of the color came from the 5x orange EO.) With a blend of citrus & spice oils, it smells of fresh ruby red grapefruit Richly superfatted with shea butter, mango butter & cocoa butter, it should prove to be a very moisturizing soap bar!
Happy Soap Making Everyone! ~Becky

wow, pretty yellow! I was wondering if you used a colorant (from your last post). I bet it smells wonderful..I love grapefruit! :)
That's a beautiful soap, Becky, and it sounds it will be a wonderful soap to use. Those moulds are fantastic! I hate lining my moulds and always get wrinkly sides and wrinkly bottoms. These look perfect. Gorgeous xx
Love the look of those fabulously low-maintenance moulds!! Wow!! You lucky thing you. Also wanted to mention that your PHOTOS LOOK AMAZING LATELY!!! xoxo Jen
This soap loooks like pure divineness. It's so creamy looking and I love the new molds.
Michelle
Congratulations on your latest little splurge - well worth it for you, I believe!! The soaps turned out very nice! Mmmm. Grapefruit. Sounds like a scent I need to make soon!
Your soaps look so beautiful! The color is so creamy and suggests orange and butters and mango and warm summers!! Lovely!
Lovely!
Hi and thanks about the yellow -it's all from the EOs, no colorant in this one at all. I'm really hoping the scent stays...you know how those citrus oils can be! :) ~Becky
Thanks Miss P, I can't wait to try this one. I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates lining molds -grrr. This is the only way I have ever gotten the smooth soaps that everyone else seems to get with no problem -but I do love the results! ;) ~Becky
Thanks Jen! I'm cracking up about the photos, though...does anyone else take photos with clutter & mayhem just outside the shot as I seem to do? LOL! I guess it's all o.k. as long as I can crop, crop, crop! :D ~Becky
p.s. not-so-patiently waiting for more pics and detail of the new NM studio/shop! :)
Thanks Michelle, Isn't it funny how soaps sometimes turn out so much better when you're not working so hard at it?? I was so relaxed when I made this batch -not having to line these molds is so freeing! I can't recommend them highly enough. :) ~Becky
Thanks Amy, It really has felt like a splurge -but I do love them. You must do a grapefruit for Spring -if I know you, could even make it LOOK like grapefruit you clever girl. ;) (My Mother-in-law still had the Almost Paradise & Watermelon Soaps I ordered from you ages ago...they're on display in her bathroom!)
They're so pretty she can't bear to open them & use 'em. ~Becky
Thanks Nitya, It was a fun batch to make, I am looking forward to Summer right now....not to mention sunshine! :) ~Becky
