A New Soapmaker's Resource

Learning to makes soap can be a daunting undertaking....so many recipes, so much to learn, and that scary "lye thing".   I remember starting out and being as nervous as a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs -I'm surprised I even tried it after reading about what could happen if you mis-handle lye!

I've recently come across a website that I think is a fabulous resource -offering a beginners "course" that teaches the basics, as well as information on essential oils, etc. Even a seasoned soap maker will find the information helpful!

I thought I would share it with you, so here's a link if you would like to check out the site for yourself:  www.supersoapmaking.com/

They have what looks to be a really nice reference book as well, which I think I will put on my Christmas list this year: The Super Soapmaking Book.  Second only to my collection of barely-used exercise equipment, I love adding to my soap-making library. ;)

I firmly believe in "continuing education" no matter what your chosen field.  Although I've been soaping for 10 years, I'm happy to say that I learn new things about soap making all the time....how about you? ;)

Happy Soaping Everyone!

Absolutely! I can always learn something new. I love to read about soap making, again and again. There is always some new detail that stands out, or something that I hadn't noticed. Just seeing that people do things a little bit differently. Thank god for the internet, I wouldn't have had as much fun without it.
