Gift Soap Package ,

I just had to share the adorable container that I found today. I was on the lookout for something that would hold 12 bars, fit in a flat-rate mailing box, and look sort of "Heirloom-ey". I found this elongated washtub style container at a local store, and it really struck my fancy! You can't see from this photo, but there are even little washtub-type handles on each end.

Sometimes when you luck into such a find you just want to share it. I just love when someone buys soap and wants them packaged as a gift. I'm sure you all probably do the same, but I always try to imagine the reaction of the person receiving the package. I'm always hoping for "delight". (I know it's soap, and not brain surgery or rocket science, but it sure is fun, isn't it?) :)

Hi! I love the container... very original! I also love the sounds of your new facial soap but it is strange... I am making a similar one with green clay! xo Jen

Hi Jen,Well, that is strange. I'll tell you, I was going to just bring back my old Tea Tree-Oatmeal Soap (after getting an email question from a lady wanting a recommendation for an "acne soap") But plain Tea Tree Oil is, quite frankly, not my favorite scent in the world. I must confess, however, I just LOVE the smell of Noxzema skin cream...it sort of reminds me of when I was a teenager (yes, I'm O-L-D!) So a while back I bought some eucalyptus cornmint EOs to try to duplicate that Noxzema-type scent & coolingeffect, but in a soap. Your soap sounds better, though! The clay makes it sound very "spa" like. I don't know much about green clay in particular, but I've used clay facial masks in the past and I know that clay is very therapeutic. Let me know how it turns out. Maybe we could swap bars? :)

Hi Ambra,Thanks! As you know I'm a tweaker, but I think/hope I'll be satisfied with this one long enough to establish a "look" that's easily recognized by my customers. If I could line up all the different labels that I've done over the past eight years we could all have a good chuckle! Some day I'll tell you all the first company name I had that lasted for about four months back in '02 and you all will be on the floor in tears laughing. But I'll have that little tidbit for another day! :)
