Homemade Dishwasher Detergent

Hi Everyone!  I don't quite know what inspired/provoked me into looking for a recipe for homemade dishwasher detergent, but I did.  Now I'm wondering if I'm the only person on the planet who didn't know how easy and cheap it is to make your own?

Here is a link to the instructions -easiest thing I've done in ages!  I've tried it, and it works really well.   It works out to cost only about 3.5 cents per load-amazing!  I'll be using this from now on. :)

Here's the link -hope it's new to some of you!  http://www.suite101.com/content/washing-dishes-for-pennies-a24015

We used this for several months until we started getting a film on the dishes. Tried several things, but couldn't get rid of it until we switched back to regular detergent. So if you don't mind that, it is definitely an inexpensive alternative!
