I received my package of Russian clay a while back, (I love the boxes that it comes it -beautiful full-color soap-type boxes -and I can't read a word on them!)
I've been percolating with ideas for a new soap ever since. What to combine it with to make a "flavor" befitting it's Siberian origins?
I wanted it to be gentle and moisturizing, of course.....but what comes to mind when one thinks of Siberia?? COLD! Winter! White fur-trimmed hoods....Dr. Zhivago....Omar Sharif....slap! slap! Becky snap out of it! Ahem, sorry -I got a bit carried away there, but you get my drift! At least that's what comes to my mind...
So what I came up with for scent is a combination of Peppermint-Eucalyptus-Lavender, and it smells REALLY cool, fresh and well, Siberian to me! "From Russia with Love" is generously superfatted with Mango Butter and cold-pressed Castor Bean Oil to moisturize and condition.
It's colored with Blue Clay from Russia (said to be the most therapeutic of all the clays) to add detox/revitalizing properties to this natural soap which I've designed to be for the face, but should prove to be a spa-like body bar as well! Hubby is anxious to try this one -declaring "That one smells REALLY good" as I was making it. (Got to love a big, handsome Guinea Pig, yes? :) )
