Nice, Becky. I love the cut outs. I also like the good black that you got. I made some vanilla soap last night and used charcoal, but it seems very gray to me today :(
Hi Jen, Hi Ambra! Thanks guys, the "black" is really a dark dark blue-ish....achieved from our old friend Alkanet Root Powder. After all our testing and experimenting, I never did get the "perfect lavender" I longed for, but I DID learn how to make a good "night sky" color! My Alkanet root powder also adds a bit of exfoliation, which I think is nice since many folks use these as hand soaps. Hugs to you both, Becky
Oops, Jen, the scent is a combination of lavender, vanilla & fir. It smells really nice now, but I can't wait to see what it smells like in a month or so. :)

Thanks Michelle, I just find such joy & comfort in the scriptures -especially the Christmas ones. The idea of naming them appropriately "just came to me" ;) About the color, it really does look black, even in person. It's like those navy shoes that look black until you get to work and realize they DON'T match your black pants! :)

Hi Amy, Thanks -there are lots of little pieces in the Luke 2:12 ones. I made 11 of those, 4 of the Matthew 2:2, and 3 of the Luke 2:10. However, quite a few have been spoken for already, and I don't have time to make any more. I did do some more "Tannenbaum" soaps yesterday...white trees with dark blue backgrounds as well as a few green trees with white backgrounds. Busy and fun rolled up together!
